Mayville Street (Highway 28) Construction Update

Today, Wednesday, April 24, 2024 - PTS Construction will be working on the new pipe at the intersection of Mayville Street and River Court so water will be disconnected for all properties connected to the temporary water supply.

Today, Monday, April 15, 2024 - If possible, conserve water today while the pipe is being replaced to Well 1.

The project on Mayville Street is still underway, but is progressing a bit slower than we had hoped.

Several factors including severe weather such as heavy rain and snow events have delayed the project, as well as difficulties encountered when the construction crew accidently damaged existing water laterals while excavating, and then had to make repairs to these service lines to private residences within the construction zone.

The crew has finished the new sanitary sewer main installation, and are now working on the new water main installation portion.

Temporary sewer and water service connections have also been placed within the work zone to allow for all residences and businesses within the construction zone to still maintain these services until the new mains are ready to be connected to.

The contractors have also placed buffering devices over the temporary pipes to continue to allow residents access to their driveways and cross streets as much as possible.

The work zone remains open to Local Traffic Only during the entire duration of this project.
